Hej Hej

Can someone advise me on a link to the jack up points for the 4.2, also will a standard 2 ton trolley jack be sufficiently capable of jacking the Rav up for wheel changes?.....It's nearly Spring here and time for Summer tyres Yipeee! hahaha

It's in the Pinned Section above, Al min....."Techy Info Hints and Tips....4.2 Items"

and aye (I think)....2 ton jack of mine lifts each corner in jig time with no ill effects. Have been warned hereon and in person NOT to lift two at a time from safety point of view though. AXLE STAND STILL MANDATORY.

As a matter of interest Alan, my trolley jack perfectly fits inside the large detent on the rear suspension wishboney thing, just where the shocker nut recess is....strong as an ox place methinks.

i just put the jack under the middle of the rear axle (diff) and jack the whole rear up ;) and that with a pound 9.99 2 tonne trolley jack from the aldi what i bought in 2006

for the sorento i have a Halfords heavy trolley jack but even then i just put it under the rear diff and jack her up and then use two axle stands for working safety.
