ive done a search regarding this and got a new blade from a toyota dealership today, he punched in the vin number and supplied the part, now when i went to change it i noticed that the blade has a different grove to the original and would not slide into the hard plastic bit, i removed the hard plastic and new blade slid in just fine but its not very solid this is the part number of the blade supplied is it incorrect 85214-05110, my car is a 2007 maybe there is an older type of blade? on another note can the arm be changed out for an older type of arm that would take the standard hook fitting blade?

Sounds like you are trying to put a genuine wiper rubber into a non genuine blade, take the rubber back and swap it for a complete OPTIFIT blade complete
