Starlet Sr Alarm Problem

Can anyone help. I have been having continous problems with my alarm on my starlet sr. It usually works but it takes time for the sensor to find the signal and lock and alarm the car. I have to wave it around for 5 secs tp do it! Now its stopped working completely and my car is'nt alarmed :!Removed!: I've tried changing the Battery but it hasn't done anything. Does anyone know whats wrong??? Cheers toby

have you tried checking ur sensor box? is ur sensor turned up high yeah? i had that problem one time, plus u gotta check if ur doors and the boot is shut properly, well thats all i can think off, but if any further problems go take it down toyoto to check it out for you

WHERE IS THE SENSOR BOX SUKI?. IT STILL USED TO WORK EVEN IF THE DOOS WERE OPEN. TOYOTA DON'T WANNA KNOW UNLESS YOU GIVE THEM MONEY. WHY WOULD IT SUDDENLY STOP WORKING? ANYONE KNOW???????????? TOBS P.S DID DRAIN Battery FLAT, THIS HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT. TOBS

This might be well off the mark but on my starlet i have a clifford and when the sensors under the bonnet on in the doors are wet the alarm wont work.

Change you Battery in ya keyfob as well as mine went flat once. just a thought. hope this helps

Is it the TVSS III? summat like that anyway ;) Cos if it is, its the same as the Paseo alarm. The contacts wear on the fob (mine did) soon as you get a new fob and code it the alarm works fine

If it is PM me as I know how you code the fob but being a public forum

Is yours a black key fob, rectangular with a square button with a circle in the middle of the button? with toyota on the top? thanks alot tobs

my mum has a celica and it's the same as hers, the one supplied with the car. tobs

well if you take out ur change holder and look behind there, you can see the box, toyota should help you find out what's wrong with it, did you ask them to look around for you? I think they normally go out and check for you without paying, if they cant find out the problem then they ask for you to book in and let them have a proper check.

Sorry Tobs i meant the ash tray, pull that out it should be behind there. Mine is behind there, not sure if urs is the same. Theres a thing where u can turn the sensor on high or low.... dunno if this will help. :!Removed!:

mine didnt come with an alarm had to get a toad!But theres a high possiblity that if the alarm doesnt have its own Battery backup then it may have died with your Battery!As for stereo mate u got a powercap???

Yeah some starlets can with an alarm already fitted, so i am guessing Toby's one must be the same as mine.... i hope
