Just agreed a purchase on a 1999 2.0 GLS 7 seater Picnic. Apart from the usual scuffs for a Family transporter, it is in good condition.

One thing that does need looking at is the seatbelt for the middle seat behind the driver. This is out fully extented and does not retract. Any ideas on this? Or how to get the trim off to have a look?

Also, as the car has done 55K miles, I am looking at a Cambelt change soon. How much is this likely to cost from an Independant. My local garage who is very good have never done one before. Is there any good specialists in the Essex area?

Anything I should lookout for on Picnic's?

Sorted the seatbelt. It was twisted on the roller not allowing to move either way. What a pleasure to pull the trim of and the 'fir trees' don't break. :)

See the thread on 'First Dealer experience' for the Cambelt story. :(
