" The Works " Sealant Adhesive

Hi all

Ive just used " The Works " to stick a peice of rubber window seal in place that came away.

Any body else here used it on anything.

If so.....how long before if goes off ?

As ive looked at various sites for info......just says " quickly " ???

Any help gratefully accepted......cheers

Job done now,strange though,the rubber trim in question was in the vertical part of the drivers side window channel,right between the wing mirror caseing and that black triangluar internal trim.

It seems as though the rubber had actually ' spit ' about 4 " up from the window ledge.and totally come away....thus giving me....ahem,...." wind noise ".

Question is though...how did this section just come away ..........it completley dissapeared about a year ago.

So i ended up cutting a bit from the excess in the bottom of the door from manufacture to put back in place.....

Its been siliconed in place for a few months now,but silicone just did'nt stick it.

Hopefully the works will !

That sealant stuff looks quite handy............Seems similar to Tiger seal......I have to get me some will I

Silicones come in all types some with very specific purposes. Some have gap filling properties some don't..... High and low modulus also makes quite a difference to how strong the adhesive properties are..
