Hi there people, newbie to site and also new Rav4 owner. Seeking advice on chip for tuning engine. This is for the 116 hp 2 liter diesel engine sold in Norway. Any particular chip I should opt for? Any concerns about buing second hand TTE unit, what would it be worth?

Mate Im not sure if We have that engine over here or at least in 116BHP guise.. Values of used tuning kit depends on how much it cost in the first place and demand for it second hand......

Has anyone got any experience with this model? Racechip, Looks like a German site. In Norway the TTE chip is about 1200 euro, ie 10 times more. Why?

No experience but I suspect that the TTE one actually works...................

Hos does the Lindop power box boost the power, and how does the TTE do it for comparison? Increase common rail pressure or fuel injection duration? Does anyone have experience with KCR boxes?

Another question, is the TTE unit still the same today as when sold in the days of the 4.2, i.e. Has the thecnology been developed since then although for the same engine?

No, the TTE boxes and most other boxes have changed over the years, for instance, the 163, 166 and 171 BHP engines, and manual and auto, all had different TTE kits. They adjust rail and boost pressures
