Avensis 4D4 3X? Water Loss

Hi Just joined (newbie) been having a problem with my AVENSIS DIESEL TOURER 2.2 D-4D T3-X 5dr, well not really a problem except for the loss of water that has increased from 300 ml to 2 litres in 6 months. 2 litres over 60 miles motorway driving. No sign of water in oil, no sign of leak any where (when standing) so just thought had issue with rad or heater (which worked 90% of time, other 10% blows cold while engine warm). Got worried after reading all these posts about cylinder head gaskets and engine changes. The car is 5 years old (Feb just gone) and done 90,000 miles, has full service history and apart from above runs well and has been towing our caravan.... I have been told that Toyota warranty on the engine is 7 years or 110,000 miles, our local dealer confirmed that there is an issue and I have dropped the car of with them... what can i expect? Will Toyota change the engine or am I looking at a battle ? ? ?

Hi Tony and welcome to the TOC.

Depending on what your dealer finds they will contact Toyota for authorization to replace the engine .Others have had this done without any problems.Lets know how you get on.

Good luck.
