Avensis Window Regulator Problem

A few years ago my '04 avensis was broken into. The drivers window was smashed by jarring a crow bar against the "middle" of front and rear windows which has left a slight kink. i had the window replaced but also had to get a new window reg installed as the other one had been bent in the break in.

Recently my window started to slip from the "runners" and while i tried to snap it back in several times I eventually had a new reg installed as again the replacement had bent.Less than a month later the window has popped form the runners again and my mechanic is saying that it must be a different problem. Anyone got any ideas before I start throwing more money at it. I've stripped the trim from the iside and had a look and the reg was definetly changed and it doesnt seem to be bent.

just in case anyone else comes across a similar problem:

The regulator that was installed was fine, one of the bracket/clasps holding the glass to the reg had broken. Just re-glued and stuck back on.. ok now.. €15 for glue so happy days ;)
