Just bought this car and it cuts out periodically in 1st and 2nd gear I taught it may be the way I was driving it getting used to it but ruled it out when it cuts out periodically when idle, HELP PLEASE

Like the other poster said, if you brought it from a dealer take it back and get it fixed. My 2.2 is really difficult to stall and when it does you know about it, it really doesn't just cut out.

I have an 08 d4d and have had the same problem,I cleaned the egr valve thoroughly and it did make a big difference,still does it occasionally but It's much better,

What's your mileage?
