1 Or 2

Okay so I have now placed an order for a Burnt Orange IQ, as a way to cut motoring costs, and its nagging that I should have gone for the IQ2.

I know what the spec difference is but would I regret not getting it (even ifit does mean an extra 25 a month on the payments)

I think the main things that will come into there own are the rain sensing wipers, auto lights and keyless entry/push button start.

Well I was originally going to go for a new Aygo Fire, which also comes in Burnt Orange, but for the extra #560 it was a no brainer, especially after the test drive!

But the extra for the IQ2 to get climate control (rarely use it in the fiesta as it's not good for fuel economy) the rain sensing wipers (annoyed me in the fiesta as they always wipe when you start the car and if it is dry and dusty it'll scratch the screen), dust sensing headlamp (which I do like), keyless entry and start (love it), and front fogs (in this I think the car actually looks better without)

I think I have just talked myself into my answer! lol

Having now got used to the gadgets on the iQ3, don't think i could go back to having a car without them. I leave the wipers set to auto and they never wipe upon starting the ignition. I find them very good, only once or twice in ownership have i had to manually switch them.

I also previously thought keyless entry/start was a pointless gizmo to wrong, how wrong I was. I love it :)

Just got to be careful not to leave them in auto after a night of heavy snow or freezing conditions.... Consequences could include burnt out wiper motor. We leave our in manual over winter.

Keyess might be nice but what you have never had you never miss and all that . . .

Very True!

We bought in 2010. Had a similar dilemma with 1 or 2. Looked at the spec difference and it didn't merit the additional cost. We haven't regretted going for a 1 at all. If anything, you might miss the autodimming mirror but then what are hands for!! Save the money. You will be impressed anyway!!

I have found the auto dimming mirror a bit poor to be honest. Doesn't really go dark enough for me.

I would have gone for the 2. The keyless entry and ignition is brilliant. Plus you would also get rain sensing wipers (works well) auto lights (I like it) plus I think power retractable mirrors that are also heated are included. The control knob on the climate control is very nice too.

Dan, A couple of shades of limo collaring on the back glass makes the dimming mirror work very well

Well it ended up being the 1. Bearing in mind this was an exercise in cost cutting, and then 1 had everything that the Aygo has (which was what drew us unto the Toyota garage in the first place) and for only #560 more then the Aygo it was the best choice

ANd if I love it as much as I hope I will, when the time comes to change, I will then consider the IQ2 all fully loaded - pennies permitting
