You really have to decide yourself what you consider a good ride and the type of road surface where you drive regularly might matter.

Also you might need to think what a passenger would consider as a good ride, they often will be more aware than the driver that gets used to things.

ie potholes etc. & how high/sharp the kerbs are and your parking ability.

16" rims give you more rubber, 15" even more.

(i know its not a good idea to use your sidewalls as a parking aid against pavements, even though many do.

but low profile tyres do leave most alloy rims very exposed to parking dings and from potholes and roadwork ramps.)

I know when i am driving with 205/40/17 tyres that i am avoiding potholes and bad surfaces much more than i need to worry about if i was driving with tyres with a higher sidewall.

(you would need to have 205/45/17 on an iQ)

Many have 17" rims & some with 18" rims and very low profile tyres and say they have a good ride.

Some will even have lowering springs fitted & still think that gives a good ride.

Lets see what the opinion of those that are using 17" or 18" rims.

*maybe get to try someone elses car with low profiles fitted before committing to buying.*

was wondering if any one could help me find these alloys that i am looking for my iq. unless if any one got any other suggestions. and na not into the gold colour alloys.

I like the first set, but the second set. What are they? They look hideous. I think one of us should have gone to spec save, and as I already do...

That second picture with the white iQ and deep dish wheels, I call photoshop. There is no way that lip could work on an iQ.

With a wide boy kit and these wheels is how i hope to build an iQ to look.

Since i first spotted this, no other iQ has really floated my boat in the looks front.

(other than standard black or grey ones, and a Burnt Orange one i spotted which i think was a Tabasco)

Is that the Toyota/TRD version of the iQ? You know a bit like Fiat/Abarth models. :) I quiet like it.

George, those pics of the green iQ... I like that kit, very much. It has to be the best mod I've seen on an iQ, be it Toyota or Scion. Dare I say it also looks quite nice in that colour.
