Hello again!!

I need some help, im about to buy some Arospeed RS5 GT Wheels.

18" 205/45 I want to put them on my 2 but with a 40mm drop.

Any idea what offset I am going to need for that or if anyone fitting 18's to that kind of drop has had any problems?

Cheers :P

205/45's on 18's is just wrong ..

too thin and too large a profile ..

Offsets are in the 38-45 range .. but it depends on the shocks you have .. I needed spacers to get my BBS's off my coilovers ..

I just presumed it would be 205/45 as thats what i had on previous wheels, but i have never had 18's.

What tyre size should i be after then?

Also, its all on standard shocks, etc, just lowered on spax springs.

Is this of any more help?

Cheers

I'd have thought 225/35 fronts and 245/35 rears would be closer .. there is a size calculator in the "wheels and tyres" section ..

Not sure about stock shocks .. I think a 45 offset should be okay .. but don't take my word for it .. wait till someone with 18's logs on and can answer proper ..

I think my car has a bit more than a 40mm drop as bh969 can tell you ..

Great stuff, thanks for the help :D

How much have you lowered your car then?

Im running 215/35/R18's on my MR2 and its on its *****. You can get 215/40's on the rear but it wont fit on the front (tried it in the shop - the wheel wont even go on the hub as it smacks off the bottom cup of the strut).

Lowness + 18's :
