In this weeks issue (1212) of Auto Express magazine is their much rated Driver Power Survey. In it, for the first time is the Toyota iQ, as up untill now, not enough people have written in with their experiences of the car. Read on for the good news.

"Congratulations to Toyota's iQ designers."

The Toyota iQ hasn't been in the survey before, and yet, It has been rated by owners as the 23rd best car out of 100 in the survey. Amazing! Not content with that, it also scored an extremely creditable 86.95%.

In the report it says- 'The iQ has proven frugal enough to grab a coveted position in the running costs category, while it gets a 6 for ease of driving, along with a great 19th for handling.

3. Toyota iQ. 'The shortest car in Toyota’s line-up makes it a clean sweep for the company in the running costs category. The iQ boasts a choice of two petrol engines, which are both fuel-efficient and cheap to insure. Residual values for the baby Toyota are pretty good, too, ensuring drivers get a good price when they sell it on.'

I guess the question is, bearing in mind that the IQ is only #500 more than an Aygo, how they compare and also how the IQ compares to the other style lead premium city cars (500, Smart, MINI, etc)

Would add that Autoexpress have done a road test of the new improved Aygo - not good . . . .
