Hi i have a 2ltr diesel avensis at the weekend my alternator broke when the AA tried to jump start it it wouldnt start he thought there was a fuel problem i then got a mechanic to look at it he said it looks like there might be a fuel cut off switch or inertia switch but we cant find it anywhere does anyone know if there is one & if so where is it thanks oh its a 2008 model

Hi colin .there is no inertia switch on your model as it doesnt use a lift pump in the tank .the injection pump draws fuel from the tank .have you tried priming the filter .also check fuses due to alternator failure (short)
