Can anybody help please. We are having terrible trouble with the door locks on our 2006 4 door Aygo. Sometimes they are just plain stiff and sometimes refuse to unlock which is mighty frustrating. Is this a common problem? Are they just worn? Are they damaged - we did buy it second hand. Any ideas on the costs of replacement locks? And how do I get the door panel off? It doesn't look obvious or am I missing something? :giljotiini:

Two considerations come to mind.

1. Have you oiled the locks with car lock oil that has teflon?

2. Is youir Battery well charged (if automatic door locks)?

I;ve had the locks changed on my car twice and now the passenger door has seized again. Toyota replaced them on warranty but are now wanting xxxx off me to replace them. Oiling them doesn't help.

I don't know how much the Toyota dealers want for changing the locks but somebody tried breaking into my daughters Aygo so she got a lock made to fit her key which cost about £70 and i fitted it for her which was a well easy job taking no more than 10 minutes to do.

Hello,

I know this post was 2 years ago but wondering if you ever solved the problem? We've got the same issue, with both our doors and the boot lock. We've oiled them and jet air blasted them but still no luck.

Our dealer (in france) quoted 700 euros to replace the 3 locks, so looking for an alternative!

Ours are manual locks and its also a 2006 model.

my drivers door lock is sometimes naughty so I just give it bang with the heel of my hand and bingo it behaves.
