hi all

i have bought a second hand yaris .After couple week , i am getting the blue coolant light coming on and when i drive and engine

get hot it goes off ...

i check with the book with say us contact toyato ...

i got an answer that the engine is cooled and the light is on .. any one have any idea why the light is coming up .....

It is designed to do exactly as you describe.

It is working perfectly.

Ya, when the engine is below optimal operating temp, the blue temp light comes on - This is normal.

It's kinda there so you know not to rag the engine too much until it warms up. (In the case of my D4D, the rule of thumb is stay below 2000rpm until the blue light goes off. Not sure if it's the same with the petrol ones...)

I think its a pretty cool feature as its something you don't have to keep your eye on unless it pops up red of course!

Read the manual that came with the car and it'll tell you all that you need to know. I've got a Mrk. 1 Yaris still going strong! Almost done 100k now...
