Taking the car in for an early MOT tomorrow ready for selling .. It has a couple of months remaining but I think its better to do it out of the way..

Must say I'm a bit concerned about the intermediate steering shaft as its a bit creaky.. Has been since I got the car so it might be OK. I have checked all the usual things like lights horn washers ect ect.. Tyres are1500 miles old and wipers have been changed..

Is there any other things I can check ??

If it's only a mile away you may want to give it a run to warm it up for the emissions tests

The intermediate shaft is very hard to detect and is invisible from underneath so unless they know about the potential I doubt they would find it. As long as the front discs are not too rusty on the inside face it should cruise through the test.

Don't forget to take the instructions for the VSC and make them aware that not doing it is their liability.

Hi, it's CF's MOT inspector here. Thanks for the tip on the intermediate shaft, I'll give that a good looking at.

ONLY JOKING!

Best of luck!

Dave

Quite a few gaps in years for many cars. Not sure how the info is gathered. Interesting to look at the old cars you used to have and see how they tended to fare :D
