first of all welcome to the club, am sure you'll find a ton of help although am surprised noone has popped in to say hi yet :)

Tuning the car should be a prob as the engine shares the engine with the MR2....

Loads of places for alloys tuning parts and stickers and depending on what you want to do to her you may be interstied in joining gold as there are companies that doo absolutely everything mentioned at good discounts so the £25 annual spend would be recouped pretty dam quickly...

What are you looking to do to start, maybe we can point you in the right direction :)

:D Hi mate. Welcome to the club, I'm also an old Ford owner and used to swear by them... I leant the errors of my ways , the Celica is fast sleak and stylish... Ford are slow boring and cheap... Definately join the gold I did and you save loads.. GT4 nice motor, I've got a 94 GT and I love mine...

Same way here... I have a crappy ford, and two toyotas, the toyotas so far have outrun the ford and my neighbors chevy... i guess ford is losing some hardcore fans and racers due to TRD... :group-cuddles:

Welcome Scots_guy I am also fairly new here. I know somethings about Toyo's but not as much as most here. As to answer your question about the manual. My grandfather is gettting his site up soon for his shop, he will sell most manuals. Once he tells me the URL I will post it here and you can order one. Or just go to your local parts dealer and they will bea ble to order them also, but not as cheap. Talk to you more later.

Hi Fizz it's the st165 can you fit bonnet vents to this model?

i cant see there being a reason as to why you cant.... would make it look original as well ... not that they are all that common in the first place mate!...

the bonnet vents are a smart move despite many guys goin for the "all show no go" look of stick ons. one of the earlier gt fours main problems was the under bonnet temp. many cook the paint as a result of some "adventurous" driving. toyota moved towards fixing this with each new model. vents on the 185 and improved aerodynamics on the 205. you must have one of the last of the 165's as an 89 over in New Zealand (which usually means Japan too as thats bout 99% of our cars) is a 185.
