After cleaning that M A F sensor recently, and out walking today with my fellow walking friends.

Seemingly having succeeded with solving the issue.

I was discussing with a car electrician, how much air the m a f measures as it gets sucked in by engine.....how many litres per second / per minute ?

Anybody body here know....be interested to find out.

Oh vast amounts rambs. Put it this way, 2 litres of air 12.5 times a second on a petrol at 3000rpm and you could perhaps multiply that by two times on a diesel with the turbo working. So - 25 big coke bottles a second, or 1500 bottles a minute or 90,000 bottles an hour. Depending on engine load you might use 180,000 bottles an hour on your diesel.

Its about enough to fill 3 road petrol tankers and hour.

BLIMEY,BLIMEY,BLIMEY.

And those tiny little sensors do all that work...OMG

Just proves how important they are to be clean & working properly & efficently and also having the air filter ....er,passing air in the same way.

Once again Anch's....cheers
