Picked up my gorgeous IQ a few days ago and have been taking it all over the place, can't get enough! Can't believe I have gone this long without one and can see me keeping it for several years to come. Love how spacious it is inside and how fantastic it is to drive. So much smoother than my aygo and much less cabin noise. It also feels so much more sturdy and comfortable on the road. Love the long gear ranges too! I could go on and on haha!

I have only got one photo, none of the interior yet but if it stops raining today I'll go and take some more :D Didn't think I would like the plum interior, but I think it goes really well with the car as it's Amethyst!

Just have to change my username now so if any of you know the best Mods to contact, please let me know.

Congratulations on your new car :)

I have gone back to a second childhood almost with mine, It's like having my first car (Original Mini) all over again. They are soo good to drive.

I'll look out for you driving about (though Lancashire is quite an area, you never know) :)

And yes more pictures please.

Thanks Craig! Glad the love is still there....can't see me ever not liking driving it! Not too good on the petrol I suppose with me picking and dropping as many people off as I can and running errands!

Haha I wouldn't know the first place to start with upgrading my car but I am sure I can pick up some great tips from all you lovely IQ experts :D I'd love a spoiler and definitely the thumping stereo as I am mad for my tunes! I'd be lost with the exhaust lol!

Thanks Mark! They are fab to drive, wish I had somewhere to drive to today! Funnily enough I hadn't seen an IQ for a good few weeks on the run up to getting mine and yesterday I saw a red and blue within half an hour of each other :( Wasn't impressed! I live more Liverpool ways but there wasn't a 'Merseyside' tab to choose so that was my closest! I will look out for you around and about though :D

Many congrats on the birth of a new relationship, with your iQ. It's mad really, I know, but I think the majority of us feel the same way about our cars. As for the colour, top choice. Our decision on the colour wasn't such a priority or much of a choice to be honest. It was more to do with the price of the car and its availability. Although, we are both glad it's the colour it is. Each to their own and all that, but we both know, and Dan knows, that Purple is best.

Just  that car...

I had seen about 3 iQ's on the road before I got mine then the night I picked up the car I left the dealers and popped into Tesco on the way home. Pulled into the car park, chose a spot near the door and parked right next to another iQ!

Common these iQ's I thought but fortunately not, only seen a handful since that day. :)

Ha i have been away for 2 weeks and the car was at home on the drive. I had forgot i had parked it in backwards and as i came in the close there it was smiling at me. Dropped the csses off and jumped in it and away. Fantastic!!!

Congrats on the purchase and superb colour choice. ;)

Had mine since October and still gives me a grin when I'm driving around London, just darts in and out of those little gaps.

Pick up mine on Friday and I cannot wait - taking the day off work so I can pick it up tin the morning and then drive round and show it off to friends and family (all know I am changing the car but non know what I am getting)

As for the comment about it being better than the Aygo - I test drove both and while the Aygo made me smile, I can see that it would get a bit wearing longer term (and the IQ was only about #560 more) so it was a no brainer.

Have also been thinking that the IQ reminds me of the classic Mini from the 60's - that too could be had relatively cheaply (like the IQ) or could be specced up to something really really special (Aston Cygnet)

Congrats!

Have had mine for one month and still love it! A bold car for bold people... :-)

It seems to me the mpg is really good to! It's like a Porsche, you need to drive it right in order to get use of its full performance! I really like trying to reach mpg spec and I have almost succeed for urban spec. My next challenge is to reach extra urban spec.

Best regards from Sweden

Jon

Yes the iQ is a great car, but you might not like the interior light. That's the one thing I hated. Tarquin (David) can sort it out for you, as he did mine.

Thanks for the congrats :D Still can't get a good few more photos of it as seriously, it hasn't stopped raining since I got it haha! It's mad! Today is absolutely gorgeous though and I feel the need to go and wash it!

Definitely agree purple is THEE colour :P

Marc - I have noticed the light actually :( I can't see anything with it on haha! Think I may take your advice and get it sorted!

Mark - You never know...I am always up and down the motorway to Manchester (mainly to shop) but I may see you about!

Hows the IQ going Paul??

I think we all like the colours we have chosen for our IQs, so none is really better than another but thou art quite right in liking thine own colour!

Haha I agree, it's only said in fun! If I had loads of money I would of got a different colour for each day, it was so hard to pick!
