I have a 2011 Aygo go with a leather wheel, which has started to peel on the right hand side. Done 18500 miles and dont use driving gloves, alcohol gel etc. Any one else had this issue and do you think I could get it changed under warranty?

Thanks

My first reaction was 'hell, yes!', but on consideration I'd have to add "provided there was no evidence of damage, such as from a sharp edge".

If it has just come away at a stitched seam I'd think there would be no problem with a warranty claim.

Its not come apart at the stitching, its like a thin skin has come off a 6 inch section of the wheel. The leather wheel has a very slight patten on the leather, when this has peeled off then its just like smooth rubber, looks rather tatty!

If it is real leather then natural variation means this sort of thing will crop up occasionally - damn cow not doing it's job properly :)

I'd grab my dealer and tell him it's not good enough. (Don't be wimpy and say "Is this a warranty job?", act like you can't believe it's anything other.)

Just a thought on this, would using a leather treatment like what you would use on a leather three piece suite in your home help by conditiong the steering wheel so preventing the peeling etc??

Thanks.
