Hi, Cleaned my EGR valve yesterday, already noticed a massive improvement on mpg and performance. Would it be worth spending £25 on some BG244 diesel cleaner, or should I save my hard earned cash? Thanks

Personally i wouldnt bother just get some millers ecomax from halfrauds or get stuff made by comma in a orange bottle but this is one shot so you will use the whole bottle as opposed to a dose of the millers stuff. The egr fouls up regularly, i've cleaned mine every 10k from new.

You might also consider running your car on V-Power diesel

thanks for the advice, only had the car 3 months and randomly looked on here yesterday. Had an Astra 1.6 club estate before, so i've got alot to learn lol. :D

Mistermena has been a very busy the last few weeks and has not had the time to come on the TOC.

But you know he would have given a thumbs up for BG244 and V power.

Cleaned my EGR with car cleaner today, so far so good. Need to empty the tank then I'll feed it BG244! I like the clapping smiley!

No empty it first as I've got some injection cleaner in and don't wish to mix the two.

One can gone in with a full tank of fuel. It stinks! Is this normal and just the scent of all the **** being cleared out?
