Headlight Allignment

Hello

My 2005 Yaris failed its MOT yesterday because the headlights are not alligned correctly.

The garage were not sure on what to do and need the car back to fix it. They are thinking that new headlight units might be needed!

I am sure there must be a simpler solution.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

There is a simpler way.

Align them.. unless the lamps are cracked or physically damaged.

Each headlamp has horizontal and vertical adjusters.

If you don't know how to do it, find another garage..

Fully agree with the above. the vertical adjustment is on the headlamp leveling motor. Any garage which has an optical beam setter can do the work. Takes around 10 mins. Unless, as suggested there is physical damage.

If you or someone else has changed a bulb you should also check it's been seated correctly.
