Dont know how many people know this.. but while my car was in for work the dealer informed me that before they carry out any work at all on a toyota hybrid they have to get permission from toyota themselves as they want to keep a record of all issues with the car. As its a new model helps them keep track of issues

just thought id pass this on incase anyone else needs work done

Interesting, thanks. My 20 month old HSD hasn't had any warranty work yet, just a service.

the problem I had was with the inbuilt sat nav system

it started freezing whenever i got within 10 miles of central london

lucky i work in london so wasnt too bad most times.. but it was annoying

they had never heard of the problem.. but just updated the software and reloaded it onto my system and touch wood it has cured it

Oh I see, I did not go with the Nav option as I have a really good TomTom.

Did get the DAB radio upgrade, which is ace.

I wasnt going to bother either..

However it was 0% interest on the whole purchase of the car.. and over the 3 years i think upgrading to the top spec added a few quid a month so thought why not

so mines the t sprit which comes with partial leather seats (must say are very comfee.. specially the headrests) bigger 17 inch rims instead of 15 inch.. and then the nav system etc.. which now its working again is a godsend.. i mean the bluetooth alone is worth the money for me.. save me remembering a headset (which i always find uncomfortable anyways)

just wish i had gone for the parking sensors now.. miss the beep beep.. but the rear reversing camera is almost as good.. still dont trust it! as gives different view from the mirror

keyless entry is useful too

also they offered a service plan for 3 years for £600 i think it was so i just have to insure and put petrol in it apart from the monthly oh and tyre and gap insurance

thought to myself wats point of tyre insurance.. but already had one flat on a motorway! so thats £140 saved.. just a few more flats and ill be even.. covers refurbs on the alloys also so come the last month its valid i will get all 4 done

Fair enough, agree with the rear view camera, its very wide angle means that objects seem to suddenly leap at you.

The dealer managed to talk me into a 3 year service plan, but I must admit that it does make sense to spread the load.
