Toyota Popularity In The Uk

Why are Toyota by far more common sight in Ireland than here in the UK??????

Everybodys got em, the rally boys all drive AE86s or Imprezas (its that simple), and the boyracers all drive 93-onwards FWD corollas (kitted out to the last), Imported Slarlet/Glanza GT Turbos or V-Tec Honda Civics, thankfully there are very few Chicken Paxos and Corsas although they are becommin a bit too common for my liking. Celicas are becomming very common as they are all japanese imports, and absolutely nobody wants an MR2, believe it or not.

Cause you can get good imports cheap .. and it doesn't cost you an arm and a leg to keep an older car on the road ..

And the UK has "new car" snobbery ..

I am going to Ireland this weekend (with Garrick) so I will have a look at the cars on the road.

(that's if there are any about as I think we are staying in a quiet place).

Where I live there are at least 3 Toyota's in my close; mr MR2, Garricks Corolla Gti and a CS celica, I don't notice the ordinary cars.

I don't know about that.

Last week I was nearly run off the road by a Yaris.

This week I was cut up by an Avensis and almost got a Rav4 up the backside.

Toyotas seem pretty popular to me.

Oh, not to mention the huge number of MR2s in this area!
