Yes you can reuse it and being steel it should be ok but it's always best to fit a new one, they are usually available off the shelf at Toyota dealers.

Is there anyway of disconnecting or blanking off the egr or does it just throw a cel?

I've blanked mine offand it does still bring up a eml with code P0400 egr valve every couple of days.

But luckily I have a scan gauge permanently connected so it simply as case of a few button presses to erase the code

Car is far more willing and flexible to drive and returned me today 59.6 MPG on a drive back from the coast.

Where exactly is the egr valve on this model? I've meant to have a look at cleaning it, but got lazy. If I had a pic, with a big red circle on it... :)
