im constantly in eco mod i try and keep it always down low.. its hard tho.. whenever your going along nicely then it gets sodded up by some idiot behind forcing you to go along a bit quicker

There is an easy way to solve that issue. Slam the brakes on, get out and open the door of the other drivers car take the keys out of the ignition and drop them in a drain or throw them in a bush. :)

....... I dont let it ***** me off, honest.

I have tended to fill the tank on my 1.8HB when the car "tells" me to - but now realise that I am actually only putting in about 35 - 37 litres (£50 approx per fill x 4 since I bought it). So I am never running the 45 littre tank empty. The MPG average since I bought the car is running at mid 50's MPG - so logic says that I should be getting circa (45 ltrs (10 galls) X 55mpg =) 550 from a full tank. But the range indicator only shows about 420 so I feel that this only calculates range exc the reserve of about 10 litres. I have done about 1700 miles since I bought it - which equates to about 55 mpg. I suspect therefore that if I did run the car until tank totally dry - it would cover circa 550 miles assuming that I maintained the mid 50mpg consumption. Hope this makes sense.
