be the problem? and the water pump is ok it pumps well. the fans are ok ...any ideas?? otherwise the car is powerful. just the heating is worrying me...

These engines rarely give problems. The radiator should always have 50:50 anti-freeze and water. If at any time it has been run on just water I would still home in on that radiator. It isn't sufficient that water pours through it. It has to pouur through every tube especially if the ambient temperature is high.

It could be that there is something more sinister but I would start on the outside before ripping the engine apart.

Hi, Hussein.

Dont know your level of expertise, but here goes--

A faulty radiator cap could cause overheating, its purpose being to pressurise the water and preventing " boiling over" when the engine reaches its operating temperature.(only check this when the engine is cold)

When you say overheating does this mean water is being forced out of the system or are you going by the guage?

Either the sender or the guage could be at fault if you are not losing water.

There are members on here that are able to guide you through a deeper diagnosis of your problem, but I would suggest

that maybe a more detailed description of the symptoms may help

thanks anchor and del,

I realised the radiator tubes were clogged so I cleaned them..but still no changes. regarding water loss it does, but it could take upto a week or more.. ill have a look at the cap and let you know. should I put back the thermostat? say its the head gasket how would the car react???

thanks guys.

hello matey

check with condition of an expansion tank lid gasket. the cooling system must be under pressure to prevent coolant temp rising up. what is condition of coolant? regards / Igor

This problem is the classic water pump seal failure. The seal fails and allows water into the pump bearings and then weeps out past the outer seal. The pump works fine but needs to be replaced before causing other problems. You can check by looking at the pump and if it shows signs of coolant replace it.

it is obvious the pumps shaft will play in radial wearing seal ring leading to the coolant lose.

what about driving belt tension roller bearing? regards / Igor
