Carbed Engine Revs For A While :s

Hey everyone, My moms car has got a bit of a problem in that when you let go of the accellerator it takes ages for the revs to drop. It kind of stays as if the throttle is pressed down for about a secon and then slowly gets lower. It has been since my dad messed with the carb :/ any ideas what screws I need to adjust to sort this problem out??

common problem with this model.

i bet its the idle control valve in the throttle body thats sticking.just needs taking apart and cleaning and should be good as new.failing that you may need a replacement.

Yah we had one of these some years back and depending where you got your petrol gum used to build up all around the carb barrels, butterfly and icv, id blast it with a can of carb cleaner and go for a long drive
