There was also a couple of weeks ago in Autoexpress a spy-shot of the supposed next gen Rav4. Trouble was it had so much camoflauge ( spelling!) on it you couldn,t make out anything different.

The EV version looks awful with it,s aero front end.

And just a reminder to anyone who hasn't yet watched "The Revenge of the Electric Car" - all this was foretold. And for a real eye-opener on things to come, try Googling 'electric cars - China' . . . they have a serious energy/pollution/population/city/political problem, and internal combustion is not the way to solve it.

Personally, I think the performance figures for this RAV-EV are pretty respectable, and would fulfil most 2nd car requirements for shopping, commute, school-run, etc.

One day soon, we'll be able to forget all about DMFs, diesel additives, and other inconveniences.

Can't wait.

I would quite like an electric self driving car. Something I could get in from home that would take me anywhere. That way I could sleep door to door on long journeys or watch a film.
