Noise On Acceleration?

Noticed a noise coming from under the bonnet when accelerating. It's worse at low revs about 1500rpm and goes at around 1800rpm. I can only describe it as sounding like a bird chirping? Any ideas? Thanks.

check with driving belt tension + open the bonnet and visually inspect what is wrong there. you ca manipulate a throttle by hand \regards / Igor

I had this on my 2006 T180 Verso. I took it to the dealers as it was under warranty and they changed the belt which cured it.

After approx 6 months, the noise came back again so back to the dealers again. They changed the belt once more and also the belt tensioner which cured it once more.

Recently, i have started to hear this noise again, but, the car is now out of warranty so i think i will have to live with the noise unless there is a cure which i can do myself.

Hope this helps

Yep, serpentine belt. On my 2011 car is squeaks like buggery if you let it labour on a hill. I've never had it on any newish car before.

Thanks for the replies. Do you think i'll be able to leave it a few months until its next service? Unless it's an easy job for a novice like myself. Cheers
