I have a 96 Corolla that needs a Timing belt.

1.6 liter engine 4A-FE

Question do I absolutely need a gear puller to take the cam sprocket out, or could I just pop it out gently with a crowbar?

Thanks in advance for any advise. :D

You shouldnt need a puller to take it off, but you shouldnt have to take it off anyway.
