Well I've come accross two really damn nice things. 1 is a 1984 Toyota Tercel Wagon, and 2 is around 5,000 dollars. I was wondering if it were possable to buy a JDM Turbo'd MR2 3SGTE Engine and swap it into the tercel. Id be willing to pay quite a bit, just wondering if this is possable. And dont make stupid suggestions as to why dont I just buy a decent car. I already have a nice car, Im trying to be different. hehe And wouldnt it be funny to see that old box fly past Hondas with ease? i think so anyway. Tell me what you guys think, and suggestions are needed. IOm not an expert at this kind of stuff.

Anything is possible if enough money is thrown at it, I think Ive heard of a tercel with a 3s-gte conversion although the other option is the slightly smaller 4a-gze supercharged mk1 mr2 engine ?

I would really love to do it. What do you think? Am I an idiot or do you think it would be kind of cool to do it? I want to get the engine from www.total-jdm.com

If i decide to do it, i will also get rims for the car (need to cuz ill need slicks) and a paint job, exhaust, pretty much the works. if i do it i will post pictures of my progress, and would be done by august. So what do you think?

If you have the funds to do it then why not....

Remembering that you would not just be swapping the engine but would need the suspension, brakes and the whole car sorted out to handle the extra power. Make sure you budget for the whole work not just the engine otherwise you could get stuck halfway through the project...

Also check out the insurance and legal implications in your area, am guessing not UK here :)

SOunds like a superb little project if you can pull it off, would be intersting to see as Daesy has already put the 3s-gte into an AE92 so would be interesting to see what you can do in a tercel....

Due to high demand, and low numbers in the particular MR2 Engine I wanted to swap, Ive changed my mind. I am going to put a Celica Engine in there, cheaper, easier to find parts, and has 10 more hp. Still Turbo'd too. Can anyone tell me where i Can find Front Clips for this engine? Thanks guys, I'll keep you posted.
