I have a question about the latest model of Corolla, a 1.6 Terra, that I own.

I have done my first service after 12 months of owning as required by Toyota. At the service they claimed that they should replace the aircon filter, and said that it is recommended by Toyota to make sure the aircon operates correctly at any time...I don't know whether the filter had gotten clogged up over summer time but I don't look forward to paying for the new filter every time the staff at the service "feel like" exchanging it.

So, what I'm asking anyone who may be related to Toyota servicing, spwolf is especially encourged to reply, is: do I really need to have the aircon filter replaced at every service interval or is someone pulling my leg and charging me for something Toyota requires to be done only at longer intervlas?

Thanks,

can't imagine a panel filter would need replacing every 12 months as long as its cleaned regularly.....

sounds to me like another way to try and make a few extra bob...
