I think he's looking for the fuel pump relay location on his 2litre 16v [assume petrol?] RAV

Give it to us straight Steve - What engine and fuel are you talking about?

Do you know the engine type e.g. 1AZ-FE ?

I get the feeling Steve isn't 100% on the old computer.

Don't worry about that buddy, just tell us best you can and we'll ask what we what we can't figure out.

When you open the RAV page, there are some subjects pinned at the top of the page. If you click on "Technical hints and tips" it opens up another list. Your car is a 4.1 with a 3SFE 2.0 litre petrol and right at the top of the list you will see several pdf's (they are just listed as subjects) which are from the 4.1 manual.

I had been looking in the pinned section and in there are the wiring diagrams. ON page 18 you can find the fuel pump circuit and it shows the relay to be in the L/H kick panel in the car. The only thing you need to watch is that the pdf's are often for the US version so things may be exactly back to front in which case it could be in the R/H kick panel. Only having a look will tell you. On the same list in the pinned section there is another file called "maintenance". Right near the back is a list of all the fuses which shows you where the fuse boxes are but Im afraid it only lists fuses and not relays.

  • 2 years later...

Hi gents,

I am a complete newbie but hope to find an answer or 2!

I connected a Battery booster to a rather flat 1995 RAV4. Not too much of an issue, but I forgot to change it having started my horsebox with it the day previous!

24v into 12v does not go!!

It now continually blows the ecu 15a fuse.

Any ideas?...

Could really do with a wiring diagram to help me fault find.
