A Good Eobd Reader

What I use, first you need an android phone with the Torque EOBD Pro app £3 and a bluetooth EOBD adaptor, £15 from eBay.

This app gives you live engine data logs, can read and turn off EML's give live freeze frame data AND best of all it can automatically erase any live or pending codes as you drive so you never see any warning lights come on,, it gives you a verbal speech warning when codes are detected and then clears them.

It can give you a map view of the route you have driven then displays the speed you have travelled, coolant temp and throttle position of when any fault codes happened, great bit of kit all for £18 and of course an Android phone. So many people on here are asking what is wrong with their car when an orange EML throws up, why dont you buy an EOBD reader and check for yourself, it can save you a lot of money and wasted trips to a garage with such a simple task that you can do in 5 mins
