Aploogies if i have posted in worng place, new to this;

From a new Hilux - the double din stereo unit has a DAB button on it but doesn't do anything, was hoping to get digital radio for 6 music, 5 live etc. Can't see a DAB aerial fitting anywhere either. Just wondering how I go about getting it to work? The handbook only refers to an earlier model audio system, not this one. Am I right in thinking it is only 'DAB ready', no actual dab receiver in it, and will need an (expensive) external dab tuner device and aerial fitting to work? Hope not....If anyone can let me know, that would be great.

cheers

Thanks, confirmed it isn't a dab radio, called main agent who want silly money for the external device fitted. Pure Highway a better option I reckon, cheers

Which? has tested the Pure Highway 300Di: Pros - Access to a range of DAB radio channels, un-intrusive installation, connections for MP3 players and Apple devices; Cons: Slow to start up, intermittent reception, fiddly to tune. On offer at Halfords for £149.99 plus £29.99 fitting

Halfords also sell two other adaptors: the Sonichi S1000 - currently on offer for £69.99 plus £29.99 fitting; and what appears to be the two versions of the Pure Highway on clearance for £49.99 and £59.99 plus £29.99 fitting
