I have a 2002 UK Corolla T-Sport which is badly in need of lowering. I visited my local Toyota garage (Octagon Reading) who were pretty helpful who quoted the following:

Part: P2439-E0720-00 @ £127.62 +VAT

2hrs fitting @ £69+VAT p/hour

This would lower it by 30mm. Octagon can't get in the TTE springs but are willing to fit them if I get them.

So, questions are:

1) Has anyone had the part above fitted? If so how do you find it? Don't suppose you have any piccies?

2) What have people paid for the TTE options? Which UK dealers stock them?

Any info greatly appreciated. I'm not planning on changing the wheels, and don't want to make it look too modded, it simply looks to high as standard.

Hey!! I work at Toyota in Rochdale and have lowered my Corolla with TTE springs....she (Lola) has also got 17's, a TTE twin exit pipe and some other personal mods!! Only thing is its a T2...1.4....oh well....!

anyway...the price quoted seemed fair and the TTE springs should then be covered under your manufactors warranty...the only thing is that because the car sits pretty high as standard the drop doesnt look that much but believe me its worth it!!!

Let us know how it goes

Chris,

Did you get the TTE springs through your dealership (or is it an actual Toyota place you're at?)? If so, I don't suppose you're able to tell me what they would sell them to me for?

How much did you drop yours by? Is it the 3cm option or the 4.5?

Joely, with 30mm TTE lowering springs the car looks OK but its driving attitude is not affected.

If you like sport driving, very soon you would need to upgrade with stiffer shock absorbers. However, TTE does not provide them. It sells them only within the full Suspension kit with adjustable lowering up to 50mm. So, you should consider this TTE kit from the begining if you are not happy with the original suspension, even if you want only 30mm lowering.

I work at an actual Toyota dealer, all dealers should stock them, i dropped it 4.5 i think.....as fot it not not effecting the handling crap i found that the cars steering had a more direct feel to it hense being able to push harder! CTS03 is right in what he is saying but it all amounts to what you want, i wanted a combination of better handling with not as much of a compromise on comfort. I have lowered several TS's at work (my dads included) and was rather impressed by the improvement!!!

As I understand it there are three Toyota options:

Toyota Springs 30mm - P2439-E0720-00 @ £127.62 +VAT

TTE Springs 30mm - AM 28906 @ £??

TTE Springs adjustable to 50mm - AM 27002 ? £????

Currently I don't know anywhere to buy the two TTE options and thus don't know the costs.

Is it likely that my dealership will fit the 50mm springs at the same cost as the Toyota 30mm ones? They said it would take 2hours for the 30mm ones.

CTS03, I'd like to go for the up to 50mm option but really want to get it done by a Toyota dealership for warranty reasons. Am I right in thinking that no matter what TTE parts I put on it won't affect the warranty?

With the ajustable suspension from TTE You can srew the car down to -70mm ! The 50mm is only the ajustingrange !

I have the -45mm loweringsprings from H&R in my 2002 Corolla TS. I bought the car with this springs. It´s OK for me.

For more informations about the ajustable suspension ask the user "acidman". He have it in his Corolla TS.

Best regards, Eric
