Exhausts ?

Hey , just to introduce myself I'm from South Africa and own a MR2 GT.Still pretty much stock for now with just exhaust,filter & FPR.

The question I have is this : The car has a Tanabe GPower exhaust on.Has anyone got this exhaust or heard about anything relating to it.

Its very quiet and the rear box is HUGE! (thinking of chopping it out and replacing with a smaller one)

Basically what is generally considered the better brand(s) when it comes exhausts on this car......as far as experience goes.

there are many different exhausts available for the MR2 and i

suppose it comes down to how much you want to spend?

A mongoose system will set you back just under 350 pounds

And a blitz would set you back nearly 600!

I have a 5" slash cut Powerflow cat-back exhaust and I have the loudest MR2 I have ever heard...

It's stupid really.

None of us seem to be answering his question to well.....just naming our exhaust on our two...so I'll join in ;) HKS Hiper for me :)

The Tanabe seems ok:

Piping diameter: 70mm

Tip diameter: 4.5 inch

Exhaust material: Part stainless steel

Number of tips: Single

Number of mufflers: Single

Retains stock secondary cat and b-pipe

Hey Funkadelic, does the Powerflow u got make ne power increase? or is it just a loud thing? I am in search of a exhaust too for my n/a, I got a price for a Magnew 2 x 4" Jap style tailpipes, full s/s, 350 notes, but am after 5" pipes if poss. I used to drive around in a 535 BMW a cpl of years back, you may have seen/heard it. She was white with black AC Schnitzer racing stripes!!
