The cover of the towbar socket broke and it´s a stationary part. So I´m going to buy a new original socket ( PZ417-99560-05 ) ( look at page 3: http://www.toyota-te...Toyota%207P.pdf ).

Could someone tell me how to connect wires to socket? (look at page 31: http://www.toyota-te...001%20565-1.pdf )

Edit: I have circuit diagram. I´d like to know how to fasten the wires. Tin?

Big HI to you,Atte, and welcome to a great club

I assume you are asking how to treat the wire ends before connecting them to the socket, tinnings good.

I have seen many ways of treating the ends that seem to work after stripping about !/4 inch (6 to 7mm) of the insulation back, that work

Like just pushing in the bared core or folding the strands back over the insulation and pushing that in.

I suppose time is a consideration but as you are doing it yourself soldering is a good method.

One thing I always did was to seal inside, after connecting, with silicon sealent as a lot of water gets thrown up against it causing corrosion
