New Avensis Park Brake

Does anyone have any info on the electonic park on the new avensis can It be manualy wound off when it needs new pads or does it need to go into the dealers to go on the computer? Thanks

The epb on the avensis requires to be put into full release mode before you manually wind the pistons back using your standard wind back tool and then fr mode needs to be switched off using it2 or techstream .if the handbrake ever fails to release it can be wound off via a hole in the boot covered by a grommet .there is info available on techdoc showing how to do full release by crossing pins on the dlc3 and a sequence with the epb button
