New Engine Fitted - 2Ad Engine Build Numbers

Picked up my RAV4 this week with new engine fitted due to coolant and oil issues. Cannot praise the Toyota Dealer highly enough. The engine bay was spotless.

Was just wondering the following.

1/ Do current model RAV4 use the 2AD engine.

2/ How do i know if my replacement is a reconditioned unit or new. Can this be identified by the engine number

The current RAV uses a 150 engine which has the injectors outside the cam cover. Not easy to tell whether yours has a new block but both work equally well.
