Slipping Clutch

Hi

This post will help people to sort their slipping clutch on their toyota aygo. I have recently had this problem and after searching the internet I struggled to find a definate solution or any picture that helped to find the adjustable wheel for the clutch, found that some people had beeen told by garages that the clutch is non adjustable an you require a new one. This is a lie, well as long as the clutch itself is not shot, and by the way mine has been driving lately I thought mine was. Anyway Solution.

If you have the standard air box, this simple to remove I belive it is about six, clips, I dont have this problem as I have an induction Filter.

There is now way of taking as photo of the adjuster, it is a wheel with 6 nubbly bits on it, Now I turned mine a total of 20 sort of Quater turns Clockwise, It is a bit of trial and error to get the exact play, but I did 9 Qtr turns, then I drove it, noticed some actual response and less slipping, then I turned it another 6 Qtr Turns,(so a total of 15 Qtr Turns) and it was much better second test drive, then final another 5 Qtr turns and, Clutch seems perfect. No expensive garage costs, and I am lead to believe this a common fault, So here is the common Fix
