Avensis 1.8 Vvt-1 - Lack Of Power Inc. Pressure From Exhaust

I have an avensis 1.8 vvt-i which has had a new exhaust and cat and has just been serviced but since then it has been losing power especially on inclines; it is also sluggish when pulling off.

When you put your hand at th back of the exhaust pipe there is very little pressure coming out.

Any ideas on what the problem is and what I can do to fix it?

you have two ways -- either joint gasket has been positioned incorrectly or cat converter passes gases (partly) to the engine to keep emissions in limits. rgrds/Igor

Thanks Igor, it was a faulty back box on the exhaust which has been replaced and now seems to be woking fine.
