I had Toyota Yaris 1.33 Auto AC 2002 for 5 years, it was very happy with it, but it was sold 2 month ago. i only can drive automatic car. Last week I purchased Toyota yaris VVi 1.33 Semi T Sprit Auto MMT. I felt I cannot drive this car, I had some misses on the traffic road which I never experienced before, car rolled back on a hill, jump and leaping while I was driving, as i have never driven manual car in my life so that I cannot handle it. I am trying to do P/X now, but don't know which model Must be fully Automatic am going to buy. Anyone Could u pls help to give any suggestions. I am really confused with the gear boxes, MMT, CVT, Multidrive, etc. but what I need is a fully Automatic gearbox, I was told that Toyota won't produce any fully old style Automatic gearbox in small car any more. I need the gearbox similar to my old yaris which has hill assist to hold it still.Thanks. Quin

There are a few cars that have a auto box which replicate your old car. V.W Polo DSG,Skoda Fabia DSG.Mini Auto, Seat DSG Or Ford Fiesta Auto,Vauxhall Corsa Auto.

Could be more in the Kia range.

But the Toyota dealer won't give a refund, they only accept P/x although I only had this yaris for a week. I have to have Toyota again with fully automatic gearbox or similar gearbox. Thank you so much for your help.

I think you'll find the multi drive S gearbox much more like a conventional automatic, it's CVT and it doesn't roll back, and there's no jump as it changes as it has a continuously changing gear ratio, rather than set ones.

But you would need to have a test drive to see if it suits you, I bought a Yaris T-Spirit 3 weeks ago with multi drive and have been really impressed with it.

Sorry I did not realise that you have to stay with a Toyota.

Good advice from Dee Jay.

Yeah, you're stuck with either the CVT or Hybrid gearbox for the Yaris then...
