2006 Yaris Front Passenger Seat Adjust Broken (From A Newbie!)

Hi,

I'm new to the forum and a bit of a newbie with car repairs so please be gentle!

I have a 3 door 56 plate Yaris T3 and recently the passenger seat has stopped automatically running forward when i use the arm lever to get the kids out of the back.

It is really annoying as I now have to feel under the seat and adjust forward that way. I have hurt my arm a couple of times doing this and so just wondered if this is something that would be easy to fix?

Local dealer would cost £100 + to do it.

All help very gratefully received!

Thanks in advance.

Been looking through owners manual and it looks like the seatback lock release lever is the issue. Looking under the seat I can see that one of the cables is hanging down and the metal hook that is supposed to secure it has sheared. Anyone know if I can get a diagram to show where it needs to be secured or if I need a whole new cable??
