Had A Visit From Crimbos Last Night ....

There's another name I'd like to use but I'll not stoop to their level.

This morning I found the windscreen wiper on the drivers side sticking up in the air and on investigation it was bent and twisted and the other one had been completely snapped off about an inch from the base. Couldn't find any trace of it in vicinity.

Contacted Toyota Durham and they advised I take the car to them to inspect before ordering new parts.

They were very helpful and fitted complete set of arms and blades.

So I was wondering if anyone has any success in fitting car covers to try and attempt to foil the low life?

If so any decent ones available or is using them a bit of a fuss?

Or what about a reasonable home CCTV system!

What is in the minds of these "toe rags"? From what you have written I take it your car is parked on your drive. Leaving a car out these days is always risky. Two of my neighbours have had their cars damaged late at night by idiots returning from the pubs and clubs.

Is there any way you could rent a near by garage? Some people have garages but do not own cars they would be willing I suspect to rent the garage out.

Regarding CCTV even if you caught the culprits on camera I doubt any action would be taken against them. Covers are OK but need securing well or they flap arond and scratch the car. They are also a nuisance if you want a quick drive away.

you may find that a cover attracts even more attention.

I've always wanted an anti-theft device like this on....

I'd say a cover would more than likely attract them, they'd tear it off

It sounds like some random drunk. As others have said, a cover will just draw attention to said drunk next time they're passing.
