Can't Believe It's Been 3 Years!

Dear All,

It's 3 years since our Blue MMT was bought (thank you scrappage!) - 3 years have come and gone in a blink; thats 3 annual services, 3 lots of front tyres and now also the first MOT. So at 3 years old, there was no hesitation in us opting to extend the Toyota Warranty (it's an MMT after all) :P

We still have 2 years of our 5 year Toyota GB service plan left to run, so we know we're going to enjoy our Aygo for a year or two more yet :D

Just one query though - 3 lots of front tyres? I assume you're doing a lot of miles? My T-Pot Yaris was still on it's original set of tyres after 8 years when I traded it in ;)

Sadly our Aygo is one of those that eats front tyres rather quickly. We've done a tad under 30k from new, and we're on the third set. It was OK when the tyres were £35 each, but at around £55 each it hurts :0/

Our Aygo is the fourth car in the household, not ideal, but hey-ho...

ihpj have you tried different tyres? Just traded my Aygo wth 57,8 k miles and 3,5 years on her. Winter tyres should be ok for couple of years still but summer tyres were down to 3-3,5 mm. And we have quite bad roads here in Finland... I use only Nokian tyres, very good experience with them.

And happy motoring with Aygo, I had also MMT, very good and reliable car!

ihpj have you tried different tyres?

I've tried Continental and Michelins with similar results. I think some Aygos eat tyres while others do not? I know the first pair were replaced by Toyota after some to'ing and fro'ing and the second set were 50% refund by Michelin as a goodwill gesture - so although car has been through 3 sets, I've not paid fully. Now it's 3 years old, I guess I'll have to foot any bills :P

I do want to try Kumhos next time - safe driving Buddy!
