Anyone know what weight caravan can i tow safely as got a Maurander 450s suppose to be towing to Wales soon just bit worried about the weight being too heavy.

Depends on a few things:

When did you pass your driving test? The newer licenses have different weight limits.

What is the weight of you're caravan? Should be a little metal plate either near the tow bar or door area with numbers on. You're lookin for max weight or mtplm.

An what age, model, kerb weight and engine size is you're rav?

There are a few sites out there that give the specs and weights for caravans, and will combine with cars to give the answer you need. Try caravantalk.co.uk for your van, and there are several options for the car. Best of luck

Caution if you past your test after 1997 read this as you might need a B+E test: http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/DriverLicensing/CaravansTrailersCommercialVehicles/DG_192285

It doesn't mean you can't pull a trailer over 750kg legally without the B+E but the you must make sure the trailer is less than the kerb weight of you're Rav and the overall weight of trailer + car kerb weight is not in excess of 3500kg otherwise you need a B+E test.
