Toyota 2.2 Head Gasket Extended Warranty

Hi all,

Had my SR180 for a couple of months now and really like the torque , we get around 40mpg . Drove 120 miles to the coast and averaged 44.1mpg.

Anyway , regarding the head gasket has anyone seen any communication from Toyota or is it just word of mouth at the dealerships ? it's just that i would like to see something in writing. Cheers , Steve.

How can I tell if this covers my vehicle? My car was recalled for the switch issue, the dealership have told me my head gasket has gone. I have the 2007 2.0 D-4D.

It turns out that my engine was covered. 70k miles 6 years old, new engine for free. I did replace the clutch at the same time which is a great tip on this thread (no labour charge)

So I am converted back into a Toyota lover!
